Phil:
I understand your frustration too, and I am trying to get you headed in the right direction! I don't understand why you think anybody is upset. If my answers seemed terse or impolite, it is just that I hate to see someone stumbling about when the answer seems pretty straightforward to me!
If you do not have 12 volts to ground on the red / white wire, then you need to figure that out. And it is unlikely that the ECU is the problem. And.. you will likely experience some pain getting the ECU married to the other modules.
You need to figure out if the relay is pulling in. If it is, then there should be 12 volts to chassis ground on the r/w wire. If the relay is not pulling in, troubleshoot that. If it is, and no volts on the r/w, then find if there is voltage coming in to the relay. If not, troubleshoot that. It is actually pretty straightforward.
Good luck.

FIXED IT !!!!!!!
It was a bad connection on a fuse 10amp on the smaller fuse box under the hood.
It was fustrating as all the relays were showing corect voltage. I'll look into it later , at the moment
I'm just enjoying the success (like taking a good dump).
I was getting abs unavailable and asc unavailable , I when through
every connection I could find and sprayed lithium grease in in
them. Now the messages have gone . I have read a lot about CAN.
thanks again guys .Phil.
