Default xjr 2002 cats shocks error

I have a 2002 xjr and had to remove rear cats shocks, i have fitted standard shocks and have the suspension error on the dash.
can the suspension error be remove and cats turned off or fooled some how to make car think they are still there.
any advice please.

If I were you, I'd just unplug the suspension ECU at this point. Installing standard rear shocks takes about 60% of the 'sports' suspension away. However, I can't remember if that would put the front electronic shocks into a default 'firm' mode now that I think about it. You can either put standard front shocks on it and then disconnect the suspension ECU or you can live with the light and keep the current front shocks in place. But to really answer your question, no you can't fool the ECU. It's an all or none situation.

Surely the OP would have installed non-cats sports shocks? Are they green?

To keep the handling balanced, you need to change the fronts to non-cats sports shocks too.
