Wow! What amazing work has gone into your XJR! A truly impressive depth to your detailed work! Its nice to see how you maintained a mostly stock configuration and appearance.

I personally couldn't help myself from upgrading any part that failed on my XJR, but it is refreshing to see some of us X308 owners keeping to original spec!

Enjoy!

Hi everybody. I have some updates for the car done.
Gets a new boot carpet from UK.

Put a new alternator. Mine broke a few weeks ago.

Replaced oil seal and filter in the gearbox.

After installing new CATS shocks some knocking apears in front of the car. When we went to check what it can be caused by we saw that the bottom shock bushing has a very big gap. Replaced with a new one.

И там такая щель, что без труда стяжка влазит

Bought a new remote key fob. Left is the old one.

All keys are now in perfect condition.

Replaced lamps in the boot. looks like previous owner replaced them with side blinkers and put orange side blinkers on the place of the boot light. Put there an original white ones.

Armrest with cupholder replaced with the one what doesn't have this cupholder. I don't need this feature and the leather looks the same now everywhere.

Then i had a small accident. Hit the wall. Was too tired.

I decided to restore all the brakes so i ordered a new parcel from SNG Barratt. The list:

NNC6764AB GASKET
JLM12123 CALIPER SEAL KIT FRT
JLM12123PIST FRT CALIPER PISTON
JLM21054 KIT-CALIPER
MJD7864AA CLIP-HOUSING
JLM12122 CLIP-HOUSING
HXF3131AB COVER-MIRROR
HNC7108ADLEG ESCUTCHEON-S
GNC8966AA CAP-WIPER AR
JLM20427 CHANNEL-GUID
LNA4136AA AERIAL BALL NUT
MNA3750AB BUMP STOP
GMD1983AB CHECKARM
BGC1614 BRACKET
GNA2010AA SEAL-CHECKAR

Also ordered a new brake rotors, pads and brake shoe fro rear axle.

Discovered that retrofitted parking aid is not working properly. Sometimes yes, sometimes not. Mostly not. So i have ordered a new parking aid unit from UK but while it was in delivery guys from the garage solved the problem. They have made a mistake and connect +12V supply on the cable where voltage cuts off when headlamp where on. Now everything works fine.

Then i get the parcel.

New door checkarm for the drivers door.

New mirror cover.

New wiper arm covers.

New bump stops for the rear suspension.

And the parts for rebuilding brake calipers.

Caliper pistons.

Seal set.

New aerial nut.

Then i get the car from respaying.

Mirror done.

Front is done.

Polished and looks perfect.

But one problem apears to be. Car starts to show "Suspension failure"
When you stoping fault appears on the dash. When you start driving it dissapear.

Here is the video how it looks like:

Here are the photos of process of brake calipers rebuilding. All calipers were sandblasted. Then painted. All seal and pistons replaced. Back plates also cleaned and resprayed.

Before.

After.

You can see new bump stops.

Bought a set of very clean Asteroid rims. Looking for a 255/40 R18 Michelin PS2 on it.

I recieved the new supercharger puller 1.5LB from Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - View Profile: Maxville

As spring is comming i decided to put summer wheels on the car, polished it and went to the garage to install this pulley, adjust headlights, remove the supercharger and replace all the pipes and sensors under it. It can be done just when supercharger is off.
All the wiring will be placed in the braid to make look everything nice and clean. Some photos will be later.
