Default XJR Arden Spring swap

I have a pair of Arden lowering springs on the front of my 98 XJR.
The car has a beautiful stance but I'd like to put it back to original.
Does anyone have a set of XJR front springs that they would be willing to swap? I can send pictures of the car with the Arden springs. It is super low at the front and mean as hell.
If you are local to Somerset, we can get the cars together for the swap.
It must be an XJR I'm afraid as the springs are unique to the R.

I could possibly help you out here but I am not near Somerset, also it would depend how fast you want them

Do you only have front springs? What happened to the rears?

I would LOVE to help you out... but I'm about as far from Somerset as physically possible!

Hello
Thanks for the reply.
I'm hoping to sell the car in the next month or so, so there is no desperate urgency. I'd be willing to buy a set of standard XJR front springs if the Arden ones weren't of any use to you.
Alternatively, if you let me have them for a good price, I'll send the Arden springs to you when I've replaced them.
Whatever suits you. If you have a set of front springs I'd really like to do some kind of deal.
BTW your XKR racer looks absolutely stunning...

Tyre wear is the main reason.
I have put up with the uneven wear for 11 years because the car looks so much nicer.
Now I'm thinking of selling it, I think its about time it went back to how the designers intended.
Beautiful either way but so cool lowered..

CATS doesn't lend itself to lowering at the rear. I was told that even if I lower the rear, it will just level itself out.
Couple of kids in the back seats and a concrete paving slab in the trunk lowers it just right!!

I am sure we can work something out.

And thanks, my XJR will be my tow vehicle for my racer, which is why it will be modded up to the "eyeteeth" to match so to speak

Who ever told you that was wrong, CATS shocks has nothing to do with self-leveling shocks.
CATS are regular shock with a solenoid valve in the damping circuit for soft or firm.
I would be very surprised if a well known company such as Arden would sell springs that make the car suspension/tracking unable to be adjusted for the ride decrease

Yip I have to agree with Luc, it shouldn't make any difference.
Sounds like they were getting your car confused with the X350 with airbag suspension, or the XJ40 which had self-leveling suspension

I hate CATs and when the time comes they will be removed and binned, they "supposedly" stiffen and lower the suspension at speed..... OK if you think you would ever notice, you will when the time does come to have them replaced and those extra few hundred bucks disappear for each corner

If you look at the way the CATS shocks work, there is no provision for on-the-fly ride adjustment. Only damping based on G forces as recorded by sensors and controlled by the CATS module. both side to side and front to rear ( and vice versa)
