Have a 1998 jaguar XJR and I want to know the difference between the fuel injectors they look relatively the same. I’m struggling to find replacement injectors I have my injectors shipped out to be rebuilt but it’s gonna take a while so I found some XJ8/Xk8 what is the difference? Here are some photo and part numbers below.
For XJR, you need injector LCC1521AD. Injectors for NA engines have different part numbers and I don't think you can use them as they most likely have lower flow.
Take note of the nozzle length on your old injectors, and compare them to the nozzle length of the remanufactured ones. I don't remember who I ordered replacement injectors from several years ago, but they came with shorter nozzles. I don't know if it makes any difference, but there was a pretty significant difference in length. I either exchanged the ones I ordered, or salvaged the nozzles from my old injector, I don't remember which. I think I ordered two at the time, and they both had the short ones on them.
The nozzle in your picture (first one anyway) from Rock Auto is definitely the shorter version. The ones I ordered were the correct part number, but had the short nozzles.
Someone with more knowledge can weigh in on whether the difference matters or not. I might have even created a thread on here at the time but I'm too lazy to search for it.
