I need to replace my inner tie rods in my XJR and some places say the inner tie rods fit both the XJR and XJ8 but others say they don't fit the XJR.

Anyone know if they are the same and where I maybe able to get them? The only place I can find a kit is on eBay.

 

I don't know if they're the same but I got some recently' There are budget ones available at Rock auto . I got mine from FCP Euro as I wanted an OEM supplier, and got ones made by Meyle.

 

They are the same. I know Coventry West sells them also. Probably the same maker as Rockauto.

 

My memory is they are Lemfoerder OE. Over many years I have found them to be the best when ordering OEM .. that's not to say Meyle are bad -- the parts business is ever changing and very difficult to get a hold on. Meyle is a bigger aftermarket seller ... now making a HD line. My guess is the HD is what they used to just sell as Meyle. Who knows what the others really are or where they come from.

I think the Lemfoerder are about $40. I did the ends and the upper ***** about a year ago on one of mine -- replaced the shock bushings. With the need for an alignment -- and that's a dealer only IMO -- the small price difference would not be worth it. The dealers are getting over $100.
