Default Yet Another Park Assist Post???

....well no. Actually, this is a thanks to all the previous posters who posted their issues and the rest of the community who posted the suggestions.

I followed the steps and since I heard no clicking at the sensors I assumed it was the module. Purchased a used module and installed it. Still heard no clicking. Tried my mechanic's stethoscope and, duh, heard them from all but one of the sensors. I guess I was expecting to hear a more distinctive clicking. I found if I put my ear on the sensor, I could hear it without the stethoscope.

My wife says I am hard of hearing. I tell her it is marital deafness (what my Doc said). Of course, she doesn't hear me half the time, but SHE has no problem!

Anyhow, I purchased a used sensor from e-bay as well as some match up paint. We'll see how that goes. I also installed a used power antenna assembly since the old one sounded like h*ll and sometimes did not go up or down. The new one works great. I tore apart the old one but could find no indication of stripped gears et al. Puzzling. Even with a new mast and drive, it was still grinding. I'm going to clean it up and re-install it some time to see.

Now to post some XJ6 issues elsewhere, and THANKS AGAIN ALL!

Default Update

...and again thanks to those who posted the fail procedure on these boards.
I installed the new (used) sensor and still no love. I put the project aside for a while and went back to it with an idea that those tiny connector holes could be fouled. I shot some electrical cleaner in the socket and blew it out with canned air. tried the sensor again and it worked! Put in the old sensor and it did not work, so it was a combination of a bad sensor and a fouled wiring socket.
