Your wish come true!
Did you ever wish your cat had heated seats?
Well,.... it does!
After much digging (into the seats), I came to find out that ALL the seats are the same! And I am speaking for VDP only, but you can check other models if you wish (and I am dying to know if other models are the same).
Long story short,.....as some of you know, I just replaced my 98VDP seats with 03VDP seats. The donor had heated seats, and they had only 30K miles on them. My main reason for doing it, was the sorry condition my driver's seat was in (only 80K on the clock, but driven by a heavy set woman with short legs). The fact that the donor vehicle had heated seats, was just a welcome bonus.
So I bolted the seats in, swapped the climate control, plugged it in, and it worked (I posted about it before). So today, being bored and all, I decided to yank the pass seat out, in order to shampoo the carpet on that side (didn't have time to do it the other day). And while the seat was out, a little voice tells me to take the original seat, plug it in, and turn the climate control switch for heated seats on, and see what happens! And guess what!?
The freaking original seat heats up too!! So I take them side by side, and examine EVERYTHING underneath, and they ARE identical.
So,.....if you happen to have a car "without" heated seats,....you don't. The seats are same (they all have heating elements inside!), and all you need to add this "expensive" option to your car, is a climate control from the junkyard!! The junkyard owner told me that there is not much demand for this piece, and he would sell it for fifty bucks! (I got mine for free in the "package" deal).
Merry Christmass, and happy warm butts, everyone!

Not as simple - they require the 4 heat pads, a link lead and switchpack along with the two big relays, but can be added to a non 'rear heat' car if you can find a complete rear kit, again plug and play.
