Default Your XJR choice of interior - white or black?

I've been noticing that most XJRs I've seen have white interiors. It's funny but white just doesn't work for me. The black I'm totally into. Love the look and the feel.

So what's your preference for the interior?

Had both. Never white again. Dramatic but entirely too hard to keep looking good.

I had a 95 VDP with Flameco (red) with the light Ivory interior -- the car was stunning.

Some exterior colors look better with black interiors -- but Jaguar is famous for the light ones.

Black it looks better. White shows all the flaws that come over the years

I think it is a combination of body color and climate (location.) The amount of sunshine and temperature can alter the appearance. Mine is Titanium and black and is beautiful, I can't imagine it with oatmeal or ivory interior. On the other hand, if it were a red variant, I think the ivory would be stunning.

Default Light interior for me

I find light interior a much "warmer" and comfortable place to be in, practicality be damned.. Black interiors are for Germans and Japanese..

Black. I just think it's a more man-like place to be...like a gentleman's club. I think car colour has a lot to do with it too.

I don't think the black leather ages as well as the light. Cracks and creases seem worse on the darker color.

It's also dead easy to fix.

I used a small kit from http://www.liquidleather.com/scuffs.htm

for looks I definitely prefer black interior but If you live somewhere where it is hot in the summer like I do, the white interior is not quite so hot when you get in. my XJR has white seats (oatmeal), and that's just because it came like that. If I could have my car any way I wanted it I would have black leather.

Definitely, white.

This highlights all the curves and wood finish of the interior.

Black is too somber and claustrophobic.

Not a Jag color.

Both my XJR's had Oatmeal interiors, the 99 was BRG and my current 03 is Quartz. I would have taken Ivory if it had been available. I personally prefer the light color interior.

My S-type had a light interior and I really liked it, all the XJR's I looked at before I bought mine were black, and I didn't like the idea originally, felt it would be like sitting inside a glove, but ya know, having seen a few and buying one I love black now, and everyone who's sat in my XJR mentions how it suits the car.
It's not just about the leather colour, but how it matches with everything else, and THAT is something Jaguar are masters at, their interiors are far superior to any BMW/Merc/Lexus etc I've ever been in.

Black suits the XJR but not the XJ8 and esp. not the VDP. Black does feel somber and makes the car feel smaller and closed in, esp. with tinted windows. But the small feeling is sporty and contrasts well with the wood.

White is the only appropriate color for the XJ8 & VDP IMHO. Brown interior doesnt look good on any XJ IMHO. Black makes the VDP look too understated and a bit tacky with its white contrast piping.

Well, its a sinister car, so black works very well. However, The light interior with black carpets, dash, etc. looks really great, too, especially with a green, black, or red exterior.
