I have an 02 XJR and I might be wrong about the noise but when i drive the car throughout the day, its perfectly fine, NO NOISE. However, when I get on it, I will get a rattle/tapping noise BUT only when I get on it semi-hard. I did have the A/C on which makes me think it might have something to do with it, but ill double check again. How many tensioners does my car have and what did they start the updated guides and whats the difference? No noise at idle, only when you get on it.

The silent inverted tooth chains were introduced From Engine (0108130000) onward>
They have a different guide than the primary 'roller' chains.
The engine has 2 primary tensioners and 2 secondary tensioners.
The coupler in the EATON M112 supercharger is a likely suspect for noise. They fail and a knocking can be heard.

I saw this link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...problem-62402/
Seems like the coupler is cheap but do I Have to take out the blower to replace the coupler?
