I think we go through a cycle (and have been the cause of one back in 2013). New group of guys -- often techs -- buy an old car and begin to fix the thousands of issues that frustrated the previous owner and discover many of the issues have been around since the cars were first introduced; hit search, find a thread and comment without checking the date . . . ).
Second, choice: after three sets of owners and over 100k miles, problems begin to resurface . . . hit search, supra.

The resurrection of old threads doesn't bother me too much, if there's a point to it. However much of the time it's just a demeaning or aggressive comment composed in a holier than thou fashion. It's important to remember that back in 2010 we didn't know as much as we do now, and many of the older threads were composed during the "discovery" years.
Yes, use the search function by all means. However don't disagree or insult someone over something from 2010 because the knowledge you have now on the subject may not have existed then. We don't want it to turn into YouTube on here!
