British component names, phrases and spelling
When I work on my British cars, I find myself calling the components by their British names, thereby, bewildering all who are around me.
I found that Hayne's devoted an entire page to British component names, phrases and spelling.
I love using the word, aluminium. It rhymes with the world, unobtainium, which I use for a part that I find is astronomically expensive.

I used to have a sheet like that from Jag......but it vanished! I get such funny looks from other Yanks when I use British terms; good to have some back up to show them.

Yep,
Then Aussie stuff like:
Nellie Bie = meat pie
Dead horse = sauce.
Pat Malone = all alone.
Jag content (well car that is)
Glovebox = small compartment in front of the passenger, for??? gloves????.
Fast Glass = electric windows.
I think I need to get out more haha.
Fasinating stuff no matter which way you say it or look at it.
