1988 jaguar xj40 wont crank! video inside!
So my car has been running heaps **** lately. sometimes it turns on perfectly, sometimes it just doesn't start.
It's already had new sparks, new battery etc.
was about to fix a crack in the exhaust but then this happened.

Faulty relay, I guess. That's what you here in the video. There is like a main start relay which is powered when turning ignition on. Seems like this one isn't working properly. So either the relay isn't working, or the wiring isn't right. The relay is earthed through the ignition barrel, so you might just check out the earthing wire of the igninition as a starter.
