1990 Jaguar xj6 4.0 problems
Have a 1990 xkj6 with a 4.0 in our shop. came in as a no start. had to repair harness to crank positioning sensor and replace sensor. alsop had to replace ecm. now, the car will pop with starting fluid. have fuel pressure. just found that the fuel pump relay stays in constant hot. car will still not start. also has a short in the speed warning module i found while i was under the dash...... any ideas on what next? thanks

You're the only guy who can fix that one. it sounds like one of those troubleshooting test cars for tech school kids.
ECU failure on XJ40 is extremely rare. The fuel pump relay staying energized after two seconds to prime is WRONG. Work from there back through the diagram, you are not describing a scenario that is at all common.
