Are you really asking that much for a 93 man?
Nice car and all, but I paid half that for my car a year ago, and it ha 24,000 less miles.
Your not including all the costs you had on your car into the price your asking are you, because the KBB is probably around 3,300

oh yea, you guys have been a great help figuring out the slight overheating issue, I had to throw the Jag Forums in there...haha. But to comment on 93xj6: the kbb is right around 4900. If I was trying to get back all the money I have into it as far as repairs and extras it would be close to $12K.But obviously no one gets all the money back from extras they've done to a car. So I basically cut in half all the prices for the rims, tints, and systm, and other more major repairs that have been done. I think 7900 is a reasonable starting price. I'm accepting other offers too so I dont really expect to get the full 7900.Thats just my opinion though!

yea i hear ya but i figure its better to start high and go low. 6500 is the lowest id go and is fair in my opinion. if it doesnt sell im just going to keep it and do a few more things mechanically to make it 100%. i always thought itd be awesome to have my first car next to the other few cars i want in my collection by time im in my 40's! cuz I REALLY love this car. If it had a damn sun roof and heated seats like ur 94 prolly does Id keep it without hesitation! haha.

haha I thought about putting a sunroof in about a year ago but I'd be VERY worried about how that would turn out...somehow I dont think it'd look like the factory one. Every 94 XJ40 I've seen has both the heated seats and sunroof. But you think the front seats can be upgraded huh? I hear ya on the glove box though...I know what ur talking about and thats sucky. Who cares if the passenger has an airbag or not rite? haha.

Since the rear seats can be upgraded why not the front seats ? (This is whatis being done in my XJ40 )In additionIalso managed tofitheating system for the front seats in my X300 but it was too much work lol .I believe it should be much easier for XJ40

XJJag,
Nice car! Please don't take this as criticism, it's a suggestion meant to help:
If I'm a guy reading your ad that knows a little, I say to myself, "if the overheating condition is due only to a $50 fan clutch, why doesn't he fix it and be able tooffer the car with noissues? For all I know, it might have a blocked radiator or a bad head gasket".
Your asking price is pushing the envelope, but used car guys are often heared to say "there's an a**hole for every seat". Somebody might see your car and be willing to pay the extra for it...it would be a shame to lose the deal over $50.00. I'd make the car as close to perfect as I could, and use that as justification for the price. Good luck with your sale!

thanks man, I dont mind the criticism. You bring up a good point though. I would've liked to have the overheating issue taken care of but it was nearing the end of the season and I wouldnt have been able to get to it till this April when shes back on the road. Like I honestly love everything about that car. I've had it almost 4 years and I think I'm just bored because I want that XJR6 too...the XJ40 just doesnt quite satisfy my "inner speed freak" needs. Plus its a whole new body style that really nice. I dont know if you read my recent Plan B Post. But if it doesnt sell I'm def going to take your advice and get the overheating problem taken care of. And who knows maybe I'll end up keepin her one more season. I def cant complain about how many ppl stare at it in the summer!!
i wish I lived in a year round warm climate cuz Id just sell my Jeep and actualy be able to keep my baby and get the XJR! But that's never gunna happen in Buffalo. haha.

So I was relooking at your add. I love this quote, "This vehicle is in immaculate condition for its age." SOunds very british. I remember reading the paper once in England, and it said England has the most tornados in the world, for a country of it's size.
I understand where you are coming from man, you want to get the money back for all the customization to your car, but that will never happen. You love all the stuff you put on your car, but consumers like me don't count that as stuff they should pay for. You might of paid 1250 for those rims, but that isn't worth a penny extra to soemone buying the car because they may have just wanted the standard rims. A paid of rims is a paid or rims if they are stock or if they are dubs.
Ultimatly if you want to enjoy all the extra's you put into your car, you should just keep it and enjoy how it looks. It's a great car but the most it would ever sell for is about 4,500-5,000...especially if it has an overheating problem

Yea I know it was worth a shot and I know what you mean about never getting the money back that ppl put into their cars. I figured someone out their cruisin on ebay mighta been interested enough in making a decent offer but I got none. It'll be back on the road in a month or less so I'll prolly get the overheating issue taken care asap then maybe try selling it locally. A detail shop in downtown Buffalo I used to take the Jag to years ago is like an entire (not to be racist) black area and there were a couple guys there that wanted to buy it back then!! so maybe I'll get lucky. If not the overheating and my dam rear leveling suspension MUST be fixed or switched to shocks and springs!
As far as my four door speakers yea they're 2 pairs of Kenwoods. They were bout 70 bucks a pair and almost 4 years later sound really nice still. Where else do u think your going to get speakers though if not an aftermarket brand like Kenwood or Alpine??
