OK I got the security disable sequence to work correctly by flipping the security switch in the center console. I can here the alarm make a noise then a steady beep. Don't know what to do at this point cause car will still not crank.

Did you miss my post? DOUBLE CHECK the new battery voltage. If you don't have a volt meter take it to the auto parts store and let them trickle charge it to top it off. Start at the obvious.

So what is the aftermarket device installed above the radio? GPS maybe?

It looks like security. Do I can email you some pictures if want?

I talked to a Jaguar dealership today and explained the problem and they said the computer would have to be reprogrammed to recognize the keys. I do not have keyless entry if this matters. I would think there would have to be a way to do this without taking it to a dealer. I would have to get this car towed about 100 miles if this is the case.

A 1993 Jaguar XJ6 does not have a programmable key. The information you were given was for 1998 and later XJ8.

I do not know anything about aftermarket alarm systems. There are a variety of manufacturers, and a variety of functions that they will or will not enable. If your car has an aftermarket alarm system installed, and it is disabling the ignition, you will either have to find a way to bypass it or find the instructions to operate it.

The first photo is two keys, which do not contain an electronic chip and are not programmable for a 1993 Jaguar XJ6.

The second photo is a radar detector control panel, I think the manufacturer is Bel, and it has nothing to do with your voltage problem.

Did you buy a 12 volt electrical testlight, and do you know how to use it?

I do have a test light and I verified by taking battery to advance auto and they said the battery voltage showed 12. I also hooked up a battery charge and set to slow charge just to verify again that battery was good. I have also check the fuses with test light and pulled all out and verified no fuse link was broken.

Do you have power to the fuses in the center console fusebox when the key is on? Check each fuse with your testlight.

Ignition key turned on to position two, you have no warnings lit on your dashboard, and you have no power to the fuses in the center console fusebox. Is that correct??

No power to center fuse box. Check the link for the dashboard picture. This is the only thing on the display and show whether the key is in or not. It is not illuminated though so it may supposed to show this. But to confirm there is not power to center fusebox.

Take your test light and touch the tip to both sides ofeach fuse in the driver's side fusebox. fuse A5, that is a three amp fuse, will cause these symptoms if power is not getting through it. Test with the key on, check A5 and every other fuse in the driver's side fusebox.
