1994 cooling fan relay?
Hi Folks.
so I noticed the electric cooling fans on the V12 stopped working. I was reading it is either the relay or sensor in the radiator.
I figured I would start with the easy one first, the relay, jag classic says relay # DBC11617 is correct but no longer available,
I have read that X300 relay # LNA6072AA is the correct replacement but also is no longer available.
so now what do I do if the parts are no where to be found?
here in Florida we need ALL fans working.
thanks, Dave

I would have to look to see if they're different but this might help as I had some fan issues on my 94 as well.

If Ive learned anything here I would take the relay apart and look at the solder joints. These run a bit of current and being 25 years old they may fail. If so is easily fixed.

Hey Folks.
I ordered a used one out of California,
when I get it I will take the one off the car, open both and look to see if anything is broke, corroded, or what ever.
I will bet its most likely corrosion of some sort, or a electrical connection gone bad but who knows.
with that typed, here is a question for all of us.
since a lot of our parts are no longer made and are getting harder to find is it time to start "eliminating" some of these parts from our cars?
like these fan relays, is it time to direct wire the fans to come on when we start the car?
we all would like to keep our car original but if the part is not available what do we do, park the car and wax it every week?
lets face it, older Jag XJ's are not very popular and no one will ever set up shop to make after market parts like they do for 57 Chevy's, you know what I mean.
maybe the mods will make a sticky for electrical bypass ideas for us in the future as things stop working...
