1994 XJ6 Ignition Trouble
I wasn't sure which forum to put this in, so this was my best guess, if i'm in the wrong place, I apologize.
Anyways, that being said, I just got a 1994 XJ6 with the 4.0 and promptly ripped the spark plug wires off. Now I don't have any idea what the order is on the distributor. Anyone know? I'd love to get her running tonight.
Thanks in advance!

Ya, shortly after i posted that I found a drawing. Got the engine all put together, but it looks like our head gasket got damaged in installation... cylinders 5 & 6 didn't seem to be firing right and we found gas (or oil?) on the plugs. It ran, we drove it around our campus. it also billowed white smoke under heavy and moderate acceleration.
SO a couple other questions...
is it common for the heads on these to warp? The old head gasket showed the problem to be at cylinder 2.
is there anything else apart from us doing a lousy job that could be causing this? Any and all thoughts appreciated, thanks a lot!
