'94 XJ6 security alarm issue PLEASE HELP!
Hey folks...Well yesterday I was working on my car and a little nut fell down into the alarm area (located drivers side behind the headlight) and had to take the alarm speaker off to retrieve it...Simple as unscrewing two screws, talking it off and screwing it on...Well, I did that and was finished for the day...Come the afternoon i have to go somewhere and I unlock my door and open it and the alarm and horn start to sound...and its really loud! I do not own a keyfob for the alarm and never have as well as i have never had issues with the alarm before yesterday when i touched the speaker...I first unhooked the battery for a few mins and reconnect it, starts to go off again...tried locking and unlocking the doors...nothing....tried the whole key in the ignition deal, still nothing...so i had to just take the security fuse out for now until i can figure something out to turn it off and disable it..and the fuse out indicator light isnt a fun thing to look at on the instrument panel either....i have tried everything i know to try and turn it off and it does not shut off...also, the car is not disabled in any way..its still able to start up and everything else like normal while the alarm is blasting away...any known remedies to getting it to turn off is greatly appreciated because i really dont want to have to go to the dealer and pay just to have it turned off if i can somehow do it myself...and again, i do not own the alarm keyfob so i need to know a manual way to shut it off for good, if possible...Thank you in advance for any help..

Assuming it's a Jaguar system (they were an option at this year), there will be a valet switch "somewhere", but, as Jerry pointed out, 99% of them were put inside the cubby box under the center armrest.
If it is a proper Jaguar system, it might be worthwhile trying to get a remote for it as it's a pretty good alarm system with the following convenience features : Door lock, unlock, global close, follow me home lights, remote trunk release, panic alarm.
