Any parts from '96 cross over to XJ40s?
Hi all, went to the junkyard today (breaker?) and found a 1996 Jaguar. We were hunting for door lock solenoid/modules. The '96 doors were set up differently so I don't think they would work.
However we did need a windshield washer sprayer nozzle, so we took those and it looks like a fit. (Will know more tomorrow)
Also noticed that the rear suspension looked the same.
Like the title says- are there any other parts that can be used on our model?
This wrecking yard is very inexpensive- I can get the whole motor for $130! Small parts are often given to me because they don't want to deal with finding a price; crazy, but true!

Just for future info... we grabbed the windshield sprayer nozzles. They fit, as long as you don't mind changing the wire connectors out. (I'm guessing they are heated??)
Those were needed to pass inspection, which it did yesterday!! It passed emissions testing with flying colors; only 39 HC at idle and 24 at 2000 rpm. The fellow testing it was quite surprised at how well it passed. He said it was better than some of the new cars he had that day.
We also put new hood and trunk lifts on today. Using a piece of wood was getting really old. Found the new ones online for a really decent price. Less than $50 for all 4.
