Anyone running their XJ40 on 87 because of gas prices lately?

I ran a few gas stations for Gulf Oil GB, back in the sixties and, water in tanks was quite a problem, back then. Just checked the price in the UK. It's at around $8.65 a US gallon ! I remember paying half a crown, for a gallon for my motorbike and, 77 cents a gallon in Iowa, for my RV.........Roger.

I had been using 87 octane for quite a long time and never experience pinging even in uphill drive. Gas prices cost high here in San Jose, CA, ..too costly to used premium gas all the time. I do add lucas oil to my tank every fill up (5 ml ), it surely does lubricate all injectors and all parts of the fuel system. So far, it never failed emission and the engine runs well. With these experienced, I am definitely adding LUCAS OIL to all my cars.
