Battery Draw At The Coil With Ign Off?
New here but please help. 1989 I6
My battery keeps discharging and i found that there is power to the ignition coil all the time even with the key in the off position. I have removed the ignition relay yet there is still power to the coil. Any ideas of what or where to check next?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank's in advance!!!!

Find a good autoelectrician and have him check all your connections if there is some short circuit .
1 of myJags was draining the battery .Finally, we ended up using a switch to prevent the circuit flow from the negative battery . In fact I hate such solutions though[&:]

RE: Battery Draw At The Coil With Ign Off?
Well, cadillac i too hate that kind of solution. I have been pondering a kill swith installed into the coil wire that way i can disconnect the draw, prevent theft, save the new battery from constantly discharging and save myself the hassle of disconnecting the battery when i am not using the car and reconnecting it whrn the car is needed. I just wonder if this approach will harm the ECM?
I can do the kill switch as a temporary measure until i find the real culprit.
Thank's guys!
