Bulb failure light on, faulty High Level Stop light
The bulb failure light has been on for a while now. New bulbs for the tail lights did not resolve issue. Then, I my father said to check the high level stop light. It was working at first but then would not illuminate suggesting it has an intermittent problem. I checked the fuse for the High level stop light (HLSP) and it appears to be ok. I wiggled the wires on the HLSL while the brake pedal was depresed and no joy. I rearranged the 1st and forth bulbs in the HLSL and still it will not light up. Any thoughts? thanks

I think I recall a member reporting that the circuit board inside his high mounted stop lamp had disintegrated or otherwise irreparably failed. It would also be worth checking the integrity of the wiring harness and electrical connector at the HMSL.
Also, you still have the bulb failure warning lamp illuminated when you fix the HMSL, check the license plate lamps - a frequent cause of the bulb failure warning but easily overlooked.
Cheers,
Don
