Hello, Please can you help.

My XJ40 Daimler 1988 has a bulb fault light on. The front right hand low voltage park light in the head light is not working. Globe is ok. No power to the back of the globe. Tried several headlight modules that are near the head light and all are the same so I think the problem its closer to the fire wall cabin. All fuses have been tested

Anything else I can try?

I disabled DOZENS of 3.6 (1988/89) XJ40 bulb fail display with a simple wiring scheme over 25 years ago. It was the 'thing-to-do' back then.

I drew the wire 'cut-crimp-swap/ground' diagram and disabled the annoying BULB FAIL message in many cars.

Here is a drawing I made almost 30 years ago. I found the piece of paper I drew as a guide and made a .jpg scan PIC of it.


I am NOT very artistically inclined. I draw 'stick-people' poorly.

Thanks for your reply Bob. This I think will be what I will try after I get it working but still doesn't fix the power problem of having no power to the light. Would you know if I run a wire from the left side light to the right will that make it work?
