Busy Beaver
I hope you all are enjoying your cats. I have been busy with mine as well.
A couple jobs I most recently completed. I put a new (used) subframe in my white sovereign, you can see why from the picture. Its a 7 on my repair scale, (10 being most difficult) due to the amount of time it takes to do it. I picked up a beautiful 93 with 99k on it. Interior 9 out of 10. AC will freeze you. It needed an alternator. The car smelled like gas, as a lot of these do. After determining those fumes are not from your traditional means..i.e. hoses etc.
The reason why is because they get wet on the bottom and rot, small pin holes can cause these minute leaks. Fix? Replace the tank. It's a 9 on the repair scale. A 93 gas tank can only be exchanged with a 93..without modifications. The tanks are extremely difficult to find, without leaks. I will take pics of the inside of the tank for those of you needing reference.
