which CENTER CAPS do i need???
Hi, I am a TOTAL newbie!! I have a 1988 Jaguar that I've JUST begun to work on. This is my first Jag and I'm quickly learning so far. I just ordered some basics that I need today. New air filter, hood support shocks, brake pads, stuff like that..... I have the factory rims, nice condition, but they are missing the center caps. I've seen two styles that both claim to be for a 1988 XJ6. Some are solid one piece with the jag logo in the middle with three clips on the unit. The others have holes in them (5) where the lug nuts go and then they have the jag logo in the middle of them. Which ones work for my rims and which ones won't? Which ones are the right ones for my 1988 XJ6 (3.6L)? I want to get these ordered and then I need to find a new hood insulation pad since mine is all shredded up. After that I'm going to address the burned out (VCM) issue and then I need to do something with the radio. I'd like to yank it out and put in a nice cd player but I've read that its not that easy. So for now I need some help on the center caps! Thanks!

Et voila, by the miracles of Internet technology...tedh's Jag without caps...
and my 92 with caps...
Changing the radio is not that difficult, just a bit time consuming if you do it yourself.
I installed a boot mounted CD player and corresponding head unit in the 92 last summer.

As it says I am not an in car entertainment walha, but my brother in law gave me the unit from his Cosworth, so it was a bit of, why not have a go. Just make sure that you have the corresponding link lead that goes between the head and the player.
A nice weekend job.
