Welcome to the forum AL,

I've copied this question from your Intro to XJ40 forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Hi there, FF14 is a code for a coolant temperature sensor out of range (faulty) - Sometimes this can simply be a bad connection at the plug, try cleaning the contacts and clearing the code first.

To clear the code, disconnect the neg battery terminal for a minute. Make sure you have the radio code and leave the doors unlocked when you disconnect the battery.

If the code returns, replace the sensor -

I uploaded S91_AJ6 4.0 Engine Management in the large file area or GUS should have it on his website.

All you need to know about the AJ6 diagnostics.
