I don't know the answer to your question off the top of my head, but just in case another member does, can you clarify that you want to know the wrench size required for nut part 15 in the diagram below, that threads onto the lower fulcrum bolt, part 14?
My recollection is that most of those suspension bolts and nuts fall into the 15mm, 17mm, 19mm and 21mm range, but the heads of those fulcrum bolts are much larger, something like 27mm, 30mm or 32mm. Note that the lower ball joint screws are not metric, but rather 1/2 inch SAE/Imperial. Hopefully someone else will have had wrenches on those more recently and will be able to answer your question.
I went to your public profile to be reminded that your Jaguar is a 1991 XJ40. Please add the year, model and engine information to your signature so it will show up in all your posts and others won't have to go to your profile or ask. To do so, use your User Control Panel (User CP link above left), find Edit Signature in the left column and add your car info and save your signature.
Hi Don,,,
Ok I think I figured out the signature part of this LOL.
So the nut #15 part (nut) is what I was looking for the size. I guess I should have clarified, but I need the Metric size and pitch... I don't need the socket/wrench size. The castle nuts are stripped, but the shaft threads are fine, so i need new nuts. The local hardware stores don't seem to have them. I found some on the JAGBITS store web site so I ordered from there. Im waiting for them to come in and hopefully ill be able to complete my suspension rebuild!!
