Unhappy Fixed one problem need help with 2nd

Guys sorry if this gets a little long. I fixed the no spark problem with my 91 xj6. I replaced the cps. Started and ran rough pulled the MAF sensor and it was filthy. cleaned it and the car ran beautifully for approximately 10 min. And then would not start. Before it was flooding out due to the dirty MAF now it is getting no fuel (has a new regulator) I used a noid light and determined the injectors are not getting voltage. I am not much on computer controlled systems but is there anything other than the ECU that would cause this and is there a way to test the ECU?. Thanks.

Chainsaw39:

...not too many takers yet. Have you made any progress? Keep in mind that I know less about the electrics than you (!); but I think I'm a little confused - and in any case you may want to double-check some basics. If it is not getting fuel, perhaps the fuel pump relay? The pins in the relay base can be jumped to test whether the pump itself can be energized to work. If it's spark, perhaps double-check the cap & rotor. I know some guys carry a spare rotor just in case...

Good luck!

sorry I always seem to forget some pertinent information. The fuel pump is working verified this by jumping the relay also removed the return line from the regulator and it appears all the fuel is being re-circed back to the tank. as if there is too much pressure(injectors not opening?)

Another piece of info that might be helpful. If I let the vehicle sit for an hour or two after trying to start it and try to start it again the vehicle will fire and sputter for a second. (could I be leaking enough fuel through the injectors to cause this?)
