Fuel pump issue???
Hey all,
I have a 1988 XJ40 and have had abit of work done on it just lately, part of which was to have an engine reset done. All the work done was at a reputable jag workshop. Essentially an engine reset is checking and resetting mixtures / timing / idle speed etc, which is all controlled by the central CPU.
I was told that one last issue I have is a faulty one way valve in my fuel pump, which is external to the fuel tank, located on the rear cross member. This causing extra cranking when starting to rebuild pressure as the fuel in the line has drained back to the tank. Apparently there is a kit available to refurbish this one way valve.
After all this raving my question is simple, does any one know where a fuel pump kit is available for these cars. I have been online but have not been able to find one.
Thanks in advance.
