Default Headlamps

I purchased a pair of these to replace the headlamps on my XJ40.
What else do I need to do the change, and if so where can I get the needed parts.
As I understand it I will have to get modules?

You can use the brick headlight modules you will need to splice in a new pig tail for the second headlight bulb (main beam)

@Robman: Do you have an image or electrical schematic of where I have to tap the module for the second headlight bulb?

To anyone who has converted their headlamps from the brick type to quads.
How do you wire the existing Headlamp module as Robman25 stated in his post?
Or do I have to get the proper BFM to do the conversion?

I have an old BFM that I can open up and try to identify the point you need to tap into. I have sold the car that I did the conversion on. I am out all day tomorrow at a track day so will not be able to do anything till Monday.

I haven't done this conversion so this is all theory ...but ...keep in mind that the so called "brick" headlights are quite different beasts in North America than in all other markets. I can see the desire to replace the rather unattractive non-NA types with quads, but but ...

Anyway, AFAIK, Robman's version of these headlights are single reflector, SINGLE BULB, not quite as wide as yours (these units use a spacer between the grille and the headlight) and manufactured by Valeo.

Your headlights are twin reflector, TWIN BULB, much wider (butt up to the grille) and manufactured by Hella.

To my way of thinking, the modules you have would already be set up for two bulbs - so - if there is a different hookup, all you would have to replace is the bulb connector if the connectors are different from what you have.

I doubt they are, but as I said, this is all theory, never done it. (and in my case would never even consider it as IMNSHO the NA "bricks" are the best looking lights ever produced for the XJ40 )

Some additional setup info for quads can be found in this thread ..
