Default Headliner Trim Clips from eBay

Greetings!

I am replacing the headliner fabric on my 94 XJ and need the trim clips as most if not all shattered as I removed the trim. My understanding is that the original style are NLA. Has anyone used these clips from eBay with success?

If someone has found a better option, I would certainly be open to it.

Thanks in advance.

If the broken ones look like those, well, go ahead why not?

Do you have pictures of the trim clips that broke? I assume you are changing the headliner?

etaent,

I was able to find a source for the clips at Terry’s Jaguar parts. They are actually coming from a German company, and arrive today. We shall see if they work, and I will update with my results.

The ones from eBay did not work at all.

OK, so the new clips arrived today and I am ready to put things back together after replacing the headliner.

However, I have run into a little confusion. There is a black tube with a screw-in connector that is coming from the passenger rear quarter that was clearly under the headliner, but I cannot seem to locate what it is to connect to, if anything. My car is a '94 base model, and wonder if this was for the interior alarm sensor that is part of the higher line trim, but not on my car. Based on the amount of time that has passed since I took out the headliner, I cannot recall if it was hooked up to anything. There are no rear passenger courtesy lights on the rear pillars, either.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

TC
