Help with 87 xj6
I bought a 1987 xj6 in Cal. where my brother lives. It was only driven when I visited him, the rest of the time it was stored. The 2nd year I had it it would start in the morning when it was cold, but after it got hot & the temp. outside got hot it would'nt start until it cooled down, then it ran just fine. I had it shipped to me in Ohio. At first it started ok and ran greatthen it took a little longer to start ( I would have to turn the key more than 3 or 4 times). Now it will click when I turn the key and you can see the radiator fan move but it won't start. I took it to a local garage and they started cheking it and said they could'nt find anything electrical. I copied some of the forum info ( ignition amplifier, coil, etc.)from this site and gave it to them and they still said that it wasn't the solution. Now they say they think itis just too "tight" and want to take the belts off and tear the engine apart. Help!!!!!
