Default Just to follow up.....

The brake system on the 90-94 cars is really pretty good, and the only maintenance required is an occasional flush of the brake fluid and to change the accumulator every few years. And the accumulator on those models is cheap- we sell them brand new for only $189. REplacing that part is key to keeping the system healthy and working. Skip this step and you'll be shopping for a new pump ($$$-ouch)

As far as brake pads on the 88-89 cars, I've never noticed they're more expensive than the later cars. AS a matter of fact, I just checked one of our suppliers, and the 88-89 pads are about the same as the 90 and up models......
