Jaguar wont start
I purchased this 1993 Jaguar XJ6 in non running condition. The gas tank literally had over 3 Gallons of water in it.The Gas tank was removed and flushed.fuel pump and fuel filter replaced..Distributor cap and rotor and spark plugs replaced.Still no start.I removed the fuel rail with the injectors attached and plugged the return end of the fuel rail.I cranked over the engine and got No fuel out of any of the injectors (not even a drop). With the injectors out i put a shot of gas in each cylinder and cranked it over. The engine came alive and ran for 2 seconds.Im not a mechanic but i think i got it narrowed down to either an electrical issue to the fuel injectors or the injectors themselves as there was a considerable amount of water pumped through them which cant be good.I checked the electrical resistance of each injector and get 2.4 well within the limits.Thats as far as my Haynes manual will take me and tell me to take it to my local Jaguar mechanic.I just need to know what should the voltage read at the injector connector.Should i take the reading with the ignition in the Start position?Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It is hard to see voltage with meter. Ocsilloscope is better, unfortunately not everone has one on hand.
Have you checked fuel pressure? If you have good pressure, then I would suspect the injectors. Perhaps rusted closed due to water? I would perform an injector cleaning prior to replacement. See if the chemical opens them up.
Anyway, first check for fuel pressure and resubmit post if pressure good.

Sounds kind of like what happened with my car, I would probably replace the injectors.
My car it turned but would not start. But also I had the battery replaced first. But since you were able to start it that one time, the battery should be fine just get some new injectors

Thanks to all of you that responded. The problem looks to be the injectors.Another tip I recieved told me to apply voltage to each injector and listen for them to click since they operate by a solenoid. Most were very faint and some didnt click at all.The amount of water pumped through them must have did them in.
