Default Light fault on the warning side

I have a warning light on the left of my gauges that says I have a light out. Went around the car and don't see any that are out EXCEPT the fog light on the drivers side.

I thought that the monitor for light faults only was for the main lights and tail lights... could it be the fog light?

I suppose I could just change it out and see but what fun would that be.

the bulb failure monitors ALL exterior bulbs. common failures are rear fogs, side/fender repeaters and license plate lights. 9/10 though, its the condition of the bulb holders that throw up the warnings. rear fogs rarely get used and let in water terrible!!

Mark is right. And, the solder on the Bulb Failure Modules themselves corrode and crack over time, throwing that fault light. Whenever mine goes off on the '91, I know to go to the right rear of the car and tap the side running light. The light comes on and the warning light goes out!

Thanks for the great advice. I will check around the car and see what I can find and also replace that bulb.
