RE: multi changer
Hello, im a new member too. Ive owned my '93 XJ6 for over 2 years now. I finally found the perfect sound system that works perfectly. Jaguar always used Alpine as a factory system until recently. I have an Alpine head unit and 2 subs that match. I also NEED to have a 6 disc changer. Some of these did have factory ones. If you go with an Alpine head unit up front, Alpine has CD changers too that directly hook up to the head unit like in my car. Its like having a factory changer, all the controls are right from the radio. The radio ran me about 200 and the changer was about 300 but it works flawlessly and I didnt have to mess around with trying to get an FM station to transmit the music through like my original cheaper Pioneer changer. Now everything is like being factory and it all matches. If you dont want to take out the original radio, then whatever CD changer you end up purchasing will come with a seperate small unit (size of an ipod) that will have to be stuck up fron near your factory radio becuase those are then the controls as you try to fight the static through whatver FM stations that changer will use. The aftermarket head unit by Alpine looks great though! Hope Ive been helpful!
