First thing, WELCOME to the real world.

Secondly, maaaaate, without some specific vehicle details, it is as clear as mud. Sooooo, year model, engine size, and so on, will have assistance coming your way.

Also where is the fluid escaping from, wheel, master cylinder, etc??.

From a previous thread it's been identified as an XJ40. Hopefully one of the mods will move this thread over to the Xj40 section

Cheers

it is a 1988 Vander plus xj6 ( it says in the hand book). it looks like it is leaking in the wheel well and there is a little bit of fluid under the master cylinder, but it may be also be anti-frez, but im not sure. thank you

Mary,
all Jaguar Sedans are XJ, whether XJ-6, (1968-1987), XJ-12, (1968-1992), XJ-40, (*1988-1993), XJ-8, and XJ-you-name-it. All the Owner's Handbooks for any 6-cylinder Jaguar Sedan says "XJ-6". Don't ask me why.

but the body style changed in 1988 for the American Market, (cars shipped to the American Hemisphere, i.e., from Canada to Argentina), and they became the "First Digital Jaguars", prior to 1988 they were "Analog Jaguars" (not many digital circuits or systems like those found in the XJ-40). Having said that, *the XJ-40 body style was being made and sold in Europe since 1983, but didn't made its debut in America until 1988.

look at the following 32-year-production chart compiled by Jaguar World Magazine and you can see the changes in "Badging" or "model names", as well as how many of each model were made by Jaguar Cars. These figures are the total of Jaguar Sedans built for the entire world / all markets.
