Default need help with wood trim on 1990 xj6

hello all I'm hoping someone can help me. my 1990 xj6 in in great condition. the only issue the car really has is the wood trim in the interior. I have looked on e-bay and feel I wont have much of an issue finding most the pieces to replace but my question is about the center "ski slope" and ashtray. these pieces are in the worst condition of all the wood trim in my car. I have found a few ski slopes and ashtrays that look to me exactly like mine in my car but they say it for a 95-97. are they slightly different and wont work on my car? thru what years of the xj6 can I use in my 1990?

Here's a pic of a 1994 one from my parts car

1994 ski slope

It's a bit! faded and the lacquer has a few cracks, but the veneer is solid.

part numbers are different for the later cars (95 onward) and proportions look slightly different to me, but maybe that's just the photos?

Anyway, I have one that I don't need. No ashtray though, sorry

Hii Larry , I happen to have a ski slope from a 96. I am Right Now comparing it to my 92. I don't see any difference. I think the ash try was a slightly different shape but also think it would fit the hole. Good luck.

As an aside, I Happened to have my ski slope out today for a different reason and tried the 96 one on there. It seems to be the same part, I am not sure why it would have a different part number.

Jerry,

That's a truly great fact to know - thanks for your discovery!

Cheers,

Don
