Smile New Owner of the Daimler Double Six

Hello

I bought this Daimler recently and have now a problem with the alternator No charging

I'm not sure is there any external module which regulate the charge or is it quite sure that I have to replace the alternator.

thanks Jean HJ Smile

the Denso 120A alternators on XJ81 have a built in voltage regulator. They all tend to fail sooner or later at this age.
I think I have at least three of them waiting for repair on my fleet!
buy new or refurbished part.

Take it to a local shop that specializes in repairing alternators starters etc and get it rebuilt maybe?

Hi jean HJ,

Thanks to our member motorcarman (Bob), you can download the wiring schematics for your Double Six at the link below. Just click the link and your browser should download the pdf.

If you hit you engine connectors with the tornador cleaner open them back up and spray some light lubricate in them, not contact cleaner as you need some corrosion protection
