Default Our XJ6

Well after over five months of wait, my xj is here and under the knife tonight. The fuel in the oil issue was deemed as a rich running condition mixed with sitting. Seems like we will need to clean the maf and change an o2 sensor and see if that remedies the problem.
We tuned it up using all new Lucas components and Denso plugs, she really does run amazing. You can't hardly hear her run.
That being said, holy crap the oil filter is in a terrible spot. Mine is seized on and I had to pb blaster the filter for the night and going to retry tomorrow. Plus, didn't see the gigantic drain plug coming, so need to grab. A socket. Reminds me of my old Land Rover.

That being said she has a strange issue. No sls but the brakes are real hard and weak with an abs failure on the dash. So gotta trace that down. Noticed the ps fluid is low so I am going to refill it tomorrow and trace the leak. I am going to check the trunk relay tomorrow and clean the speed sensors up.
Otherwise, 80,000 miles from the original owner, less a little faded paint and 600 I paid, I did real well. Zero rust.

22mm socket on that oil plug nut, order a new self compressing washer as well.
You got it for a nice price. Enjoy it!

The oil pan drain plug is 30mm on all 3.6 and 4.0 AJ6/AJ16 engines.

Yep I guessed 30 and thankfully was right lol as I had a 32, a 36 and had to buy a 30mm. Oil out, was very dirty. Rotella T going back in tomorrow. The old cap and rotor looked good and the air filter also did. The po took great care of this car!
Today I cleaned the MAF with CRC MAF spray and boy was it dirty. That is an amazing cleaner to say the least and looks new.
Cleaned out all emissions hoses and possibly diagnosed my abs failure so that's exciting!

Should be on the road tomorrow for a shakedown.
