Default THE PAIR

After a final shakedown of the XJ40, I still have a couple of minor things to do on both cars.
On the Series 3 (lumped) I am in search of a replacement aftermarket accelerator cable. Everything else is perfect so far(knock on wood) I have put close to 1500 miles on it and besides the stiff accelerator cable, it's as silk to drive, No rattles, squeaks. Tested it up to 130mph for a short spell. NICE!!

On the XJ40: After 71 days of non stop work has left me tired but contented. First real test drive today on highway. Have some minor things to complete.
1. Replace all cooling hoses. (Don't know when last they were changed).
2. Replace all belts. (Don't know when last they were changed).
3. Replace front top shock bushings. They look worn out
4. Polish headlamps.
Awaiting new lugs, lug nuts and axle nuts.

Verdict after test drive today? Was totally worth the effort.

Hi Sanchez,

Congratulations on your progress! For parts and kits to build a custom throttle cable, try summitracing.com, pegasusautoracing.com and other racing suppliers.

Jaguars always look particularly good in the USA and Canada for some reason. I really don't know why, but I think they do. Maybe it is the light.
