problems after standing for some time
Anyone got ideas, after standing for some time I tried to start the 93 3.2 sport to get it MOTed.Battery fully charged, all dash lights illuminated but nothing happens when key turned to start position. The gear lever will not come out of park and the central locking is not operating. When I manually tripped the park stop and moved the lever to neutral it still will not start. With the car in park and the ignition on,I was able to power up the starter solanoid and the car starts straight away.I have bypassed the inhibiter switch, checked all fuses, relays and the start/interlock module behind the passenger knee panel. All I can think next is the brake pedal switch or whatever powers the switch. Can anyone help?

Just an update, fuse 3 message now gone from VCM, fuse 6 in the central fuse box was blown.Car starts occasionally but when it does not the central locking, indicators, hazard warning and gear interlock circuits are all dead.Does anyone know what the common feed is for these circuits? The car interior is all on the back seat, have checked all connectors, relays and modules for corrosion or bad contact.Could the problem be the ignition switch? Just off to the farm to get a bale of straw for something to grasp at,failing that will add a box of Swan Vestas to the shopping list
