Radio install questions.
I tried doing a search but most of the stuff that comes up is for the newer cars so maybe you guys in the XJ section can help.
I have been running my Zune through a tape deck reader/aux in and while it works it sounds just ok. The FM modulated adapter is a real pita as I have to keep switching stations.
I have a Kenwood head unit with an aux/ipod/usb and was going to istall that so here is the question.
The car has 8 speakers 2 on each channel I imagine it would just get hooked up normally ie tweeter/bass on one channel of the Kenwood?
Pt2
Does anyone make an aux in to make use of the cd changer portion of th head unit. I saw there is a company PAC? but its for only the newer cars.
Thanks

Interesting question.
I just replaced the origonal unit in my xj40(88). Boy was that fun.
The wireing is very..... unique.
I eventualy gave up and tired the speekers in live. So I could hear when they were active.
I belive I have the front and read mids hooked to the front channel. And the rear bass hooked to the rear channel. (its a 2 channel head).
Not great, but works... and theres no way I can blow the speekers.... lol.
Id be interested to see if you find a good solution.
