Rear rubber shock bushing squeak?

Rear rubber shock bushing squeak?
On my '89, I recently replaced the front/rear shocks and used the aftermarket rubber shock bushings instead of the foam ones. Seemed to be a good suggestion at the time, but I'm getting a real bad squeak from my right rear when I go over bumps. Not a clunk, just sounds like something rubbing together behind the right side of the rear passenger seat...
I'd be curious if anyone had a similar issue...

Hi Pete,
Squeaks are very common on the rear shock bushings if they are not buttered with a lithium-based grease before assembly. Many of us have had to learn the hard way. See photo 6 in album 2 below:

I tried the solid rubber bushes on the front but found they made the ride noticeably more harsh over bumps, so I switched back to the yellow foam bushes. They only last a few years, but they're the material the Jag engineers tuned the suspension for. The advantage of the solid rubber replacements is that they'll last many times longer.
Cheers,
Don
