Squeaking rear suspension after spring and shock replacement
Hello friends on the forum,
Today I had a lovely day under my '40.
A year ago I had replaced all the foam rubber bushings, plastic spring seats, tophat, metal bushing and upper spring/damper mounting and greased everything up in lithium ion grease.
Today I replaced both rear shocks and springs. The right rear shock had gone bad and considering the car was sitting quite low on it's rear end and the spring set only costs €110 on SNG, I decided on replacing those too while I'm at it
.
I knew about the dry squeak and you have to grease everything up properly so I did. The left suspension assembly is dead quiet, but unfortunately the right one squeaks like my above neighbour's bed every tuesday movie night.
The questions is, does this go away by itself by just using the car, or do I actually need to remove the entire unit and regrease everything like crazy?
Hopefully it's not the latter...
Unfortunately I can't upload a video, but the squeak definitely comes from the new suspension setup.
Thanks for your input,
-Douwe
