Tools
My new years resolution for 011 was to buy good tools. I'm really not sure I haven't done that all along. I have bought crap for years. Probably because I wasn't a full bore mechanic. Now I don't need snap-on nor Matco tools, I can't justify the price. I am sticking with USA made craftsman. What a difference so far. I have broken 2 10mm sockets this year, both were foreign made, and a 1/4 inch attachment driver. There are other tools made in the USA that have the same warranty as the craftsman, but again, it makes no sense to me to have a broken socket sent back to the company via mail only to wait for a new/replacement one to come back. This year I also bought the magnetic craftsman bowl, I bought 2! the long one and the round one. Best 8 dollar thing I ever bought. It really has cut down on that "stranded" screw or bolt that always seems to be left behind, by me anyway.

No idea about USA brands.
Down here I always had Sidchrome, Stanley. They went Asian long ago.
My various tool boxes have:
Stahlwille
SEK
Sidchrome
Snap on (mainly those really small spanners)
Teng
OLD Whiworth of unknown brand
Pro tool??, whoever they are.
Lion ratchets for 1/4 and 3/8 drive(Chinese but 10 years on and still awesome)
Odd stuff that came when I removed the V12 engine and found sockets and stuff all over the place, mostly no names but still spanners that work.
