where is the coolant valve located on..
OK am putting everything back from top of dashboard to bottom. Had taken out the heater box. Now the problem, I have the white and blue vacuum lines going to the Recirculation solonoid on bottom right of heather box but nothing to the coolant solonoid so... Where is the coolant valve located because I see no red Vacuum line there and am I right in assuming that I need the white vacuum line to also go from Recirculation solonoid to the coolant solonoid? Thanks Oh I have a 1991 XJ40

1991 XJ6 does NOT have a heater control valve. The vacuum solenoid is located on the bracket but no red line is connected. The early and later cars used the heater valve. The blend doors isolate the heater core so no valve was used for the 90 to 92 cars. You can add one to get colder air in the summer but you will have to run a red line out the bulkhead and install a valve.
