Someone was inquiring about the availability of install kits to fit a domestic V8 in an XJ40.
Jaguar Specialties is the source I was thinking of, they also supply a vacuum brakebooster conversion for '88-'89 cars.
I have not seen or used either product, so you're on your own. I did once purchase some used XJ40 parts from the owner: he was a bit on the hard sell side for my taste, but provided good value and service for the items I purchased.
As for the swap, I would look for a nice older Camaro and install some leather seats instead. To each his own I guess.

Hemmings has a fairly large section on Jaguar parts that includes engine swaps. One outfit that seems to be fairly good is Jaguars That Run. After a particularly strong drink I begin to think that a 502 big block Chevy big block and an XJS Convertible would be a good combination. Good thing I am not acting on any of my ideas
