Just testing the membership's
interest in participating in collecting data about your experience with XJ40 mechanical, electrical and electronic component failures. The factory won't tell you. I have checked the WWW - no luck. If you have discovered such a site, please let me know. If not, this forum is a logical place to collect this information. If there is an interest, would the Jaguar Forums permit it? To be continued.......

As far as I know.....
Just turned 160k
The power steering hose is original.
I just replaced all the hoses as I had a leak under the intake All 19 of them.
Fuel pump and wiring is all original.
I replaced the shock mounts 2x with some a/m ones and they were crap. I just bought new shocks and they came with decent looking bushings.
The radio was fine when I took it out at 135k
The trans mount stil looks original but after 20 years all three are getting a bit old.
Though from following this forum for 2 1/2 years the most common faults/issues are
Blower fans/climate issues
Fuel pumps
Door handles
But honestly nothing really out of the ordinary ( I think) for a now 20+ year old Luxury car.
